What I Charge
You'll be amazed how affordable I am!Call me to discuss your technology needs. Consultations on new purchases, installations and projects are always free!
For repairs I try to keep it simple. For basic home computer stuff, whether it's Windows or Mac, I charge a $50 diagnostic fee to figure out what's wrong and what needs to be done. Once we know what needs to be done, I'll estimate what it will take to fix (parts and labor). Labor is $50/hour and the first hour is already covered by your diagnostic fee! Parts are whatever the parts happen to cost.
If you need help with more advanced things like creating or building a network or troubleshooting networking issues, working with servers, that kind of thing, the rate is a little higher because the work requires a more advanced skill set. I charge $75/hour for these kinds of things, but still an initial $50 diagnostic fee which cover's your first 45 minutes of labor for repairs.
Basic Stuff: $50 Diagnostic. $50/hour repairs. 1st hour included in diagnostic.
Advanced Stuff: $50 Diagnostic. $75/hour repairs. 1st 45 minutes included in diagnostic.
Trip Charge: $25 repair call fee anywhere in Fulton and parts of Montgomery Counties!
About Me
And why I do this...I've been working in technology since 1987. Over the past 20+ years I've worked with just about everything you could think of from home computers to university mainframes and everything in between. I've built computers, repaired computers, upgraded them, disassembled them, programmed them, repurposed them and even used them for scrap. If it's computer-related and something's wrong, there's a pretty good chance I'll figure out what it is and how to fix it. I've been told my ability with computers borders on the magical. I say it's a gift of the ability to understand tech and how things work.
Why I Do This
What it boils down to is that most of the big repair shops are a rip-off and most people don't know enough about technology to understand when they are being manipulated into spending a lot more money than they need to. The big shops prey on that. It makes me sick. I don't think anyone should be financially penalized just because they don't know the intricacies of computers and technology. So I help people, mostly regular every-day people, but a few small companies too. And I help them for affordable, some might even say cheap, prices. Because it's the right thing to do.
